Tech executives are going to tell Congress today that being big isn’t necessarily bad.
As lawmakers drill down on the size and scope of tech companies at today’s blockbuster antitrust hearing, the leaders of Amazon, Apple, Google and Facebook plan to focus on the positive contributions of their businesses during the pandemic, from creating jobs to keeping people connected. They’ll also paint their companies as quintessentially American engines of innovation that do more to help small businesses than to harm them, according to documents my colleagues and I obtained.
